Choosing the right heating contractor to install your next furnace, heat pump, or boiler is critical. It’s not like buying a car or a refrigerator. There’s really nothing you can do to enhance the performance of a vehicle or appliance. All the parts are installed at the factory. Heating systems are altogether different. How they’re installed directly effects their efficiency, lifespan, and your comfort. All in all, it effects your wallet too! A poorly sized indoor comfort system wastes money–YOUR MONEY!
Let Gene’s team of certified installers will deliver the highest performance level you can expect from your new indoor comfort system. Please take a look at your heating system choices below. Armstrong Air Heat Pumps
Armstrong Air heat pumps of today ARE NOT the heat pumps of the late 70s and 80s. Today’s heat pumps are one of the most efficient heating systems available. It’s basic physics. Transferring heat takes less energy, thus cheaper, than to produce it with an electrical coil within a heat kit or burning gas in a furnace. They allow you to stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
How it works: During the heating seasons, a heat pump is a condensing unit (outdoor air conditioning unit) that works in reverse. All air contains heat, even when very cold. A heat pump transfers that heat from the outdoor air and “pumps” it through the outdoor unit by way of the compressor, and then transfers it to the indoor coil; finally to the air supply in your home.

Armstrong Air Air Handlers
What is an air handler? Many people refer to them as an electric furnace. To be specific, an air handler is comprised of a blower section, an option for electric heat, and incorporates a built-in evaporator coil. It performance the same functions as a gas furnace and evaporator coil.
They are a great partner with heat pumps if you have a full-electric home. Heat pumps are much more efficient than a heat strip in your home. Basically, it’s cheaper to transfer heat (which is what a heat pump does) than to make heat with your heat strip.
Armstrong Air builds quiet and efficient air handlers with constant torque or variable speed blowers to maximize efficiency.
Do you want to take advantage of a utility rebate? Because of how an air handler reduces turbulence as it draw air through the coil vs pushing it through, an air handler can achieve higher SEER ratings with your air conditioner or heat pump. We’ll ensure your system will meet or exceed their requirements and back it with an AHRI Certificate.

Is A Boiler System Right For You?
There are many ways to heat your home and radiant heat with a Wiel-McLain boiler is one of the most fuel and cost efficient. Boilers are very durable and capable of withstanding years of use before breaking down. A good boiler will last many years. If you’ve been thinking about a boiler with or without radiant floor heating, contact Gene to request a free in-home survey to see if a boiler is right for you.
Tankless boilers are very efficiency, take up less room and more affordable than replacing that worn-out boiler with another floor standing one.
Let Gene show you our Weil-McLain high-efficiency tankless boilers. It may be perfect for your needs!

While we’re there, ask how zoning will enhance your comfort throughout your whole home. When you flip a light switch on, do all the lights in your house come on? Of course not. If we have our lighting zoned, then why not our indoor comfort system? You may be surprised at how little of an investment it will be; especially when you save so much on utilities. And aren’t you worth that extra comfort it will provide? You’ve worked hard. You deserve it!
